College and it's Important Role on Students' MindsStudents have a lot to think about upon entering college, many of which is the price they're going to pay and the long hours of homework. These thoughts continue throughout their years and they will follow them for many years after. The main thought that plagues these students becomes, is college worth it? Many students have trouble finding work after graduating college. Working is what these students trained years to do and they are left without work. This really dampens the spirits of students who want to attend college. These students who are so far in debt then have to worry about not getting a job tells other students that college does not help you
In my eyes college is not only a way to earn more money but to better yourself as a person. If colleges do not lower the prices, then students may not get the chance to attend college. College is something that every child has as a dream. As children grow many lose that dream or think that it is unattainable. These students think that college is not an option due to outrageous pricing. Many know about grants and scholarships, but these can only go so far. College should not be free but college should be something that every kid has a chance at. College helps shape the minds of young adults all around. College helps students get a chance of a successful life, if the prices continue to rise then I fear many students will not have the choice. They will be forced into a low paying job. Students who go to college develop a higher level of thinking and gain necessary experience. College students also develop skills that increase their motivational drive to do better (McGuire). College is an experience that everyone should try no matter where you stand on the social ladder.
